  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method

Beat the peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and milk in a large bowl until blended well. In a smaller bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and ¼ cup of the sugar. Beat the flour mixture into the milk mixture gradually. Spray the crock of a slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread the mixture into the bottom.

Combine the remaining sugar and cocoa in a small bowl, and add the boiling water. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker. Cover the cooker, and cook on high for 2 hours or until you can insert a toothpick into the center of the cake and it comes out clean.
